Natural Everyday Makeup

Hello Lovelies!

I told you all quite a while ago that I never really wear makeup on a daily basis.  But when I do wear makeup it is quite minimal and I like it to last.  For the most part I consistently wear the same looks and simply switch up the lip colors and sometimes blush color.

A lot of my products are hypoallergenic because of my extremely sensitive skin.  I do have trouble finding new products that not only suit my skin but also don't make it swell and burn.  If you have sensitive skin like mine, these are some of the best drug store products available.  I use a lot of Almay because they are inexpensive and are one of the few brands that don't upset my skin.

Quick history on my skin, I have very dry, sensitive skin that reacts very poorly with many products.  A lot of people get pimples as an allergic reaction, but most of my mine are swelling of the skin, redness, a burning sensation, and small bumps.  I also have eczema on my face and arms, for a long time the eczema actually caused my skin to lose pigmentation mostly on the center of my face. So, with that  in mind, here is my makeup routine.

Step #1: Moisturizer
I use a moisturizer from my dermatologist called the Eau Thermale Avène Crème émolliente, used to treat my eczema.  Before I used a Cetaphil facial moisturizer or an Aveeno one and I really liked both of those products. It is super important to apply moisturizer on a daily basis, if you want to also apply sunscreen at this time if your makeup has no sun protection.

Step #2:  Concealer
Once the moisturizer has set I apply two different concealers.  Underneath my eyes I use the infamous Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser in Light.  It is a bit pale for my skin, but I used this when my skin was discolored from my eczema and I don't believe in wasting product, so I continue to use it. For pimples, red spots, and other imperfections I use the Almay Clear Complexion Concealer in Light.  Again, it is a bit too pale, but I really love this concealer for blemishes, it works wonders,

Step #3: Powder
This is one step that is constantly changing, at least for me.  I have recently been using the Almay Wake Up Hydrating Makeup in Naked.  Using this powder has really helped set my makeup without making me look cakey and it really helps give me an even complexion, I have been enjoying this powder a lot.

If you have acne prone skin I suggest a powder that is made for acne prone skin as to not make your skin act up.

Step #4: Blush
Blush is one of my favorite products because I don't have color on my skin naturally unless I am doing exercise.  I have several loves at the moment.  My all time favorite blush that has never affected my skin has to be the Almay Smart Shade Blush in Berry.  I also have been liking a product that I got as a gift it is the L'Oreal Visible Lift Blush in Peach Gold Lift.

Step #5: Eyes
Recently my love has been natural, barely there eye makeup.  My favorite drugstore quads have to be from CoverGirl.  I use the Eye Enhancers Quad in Shrly Nud.  On my lid I use my concealer as a base.  For the lid I use the color Seashell.  On my crease I use the color Camel Suede.  Finally I use Smooth Taupe in the inner corner of my lid.

As a highlight I use the E.L.F. Studio Eyeliner and Shadow Stick Duo in Pearl/Glow.  For mascara I use the CoverGirl Lash Blast Fusion in Brown and I curl them with a regular eyelash curler.  (I am looking for both a new mascara and eyelash curler, any suggestions?)

Step #6: Lips
I change my lip color on a constant basis because I have a lot of lip products {from since I was in the second grade basically}.  My favorite inexpensive lip products are from E.L.F.  I love their Hypershine Gloss and Essential Luscious Liquid Lipstick.

I use an  EcoTools brush set to do all my makeup.  But I do plan on getting some new brushes soon to play around with!

Let me know in the comments below what some of your favorite products are!

Have a wonderful day!

xoxo, Ana

Holiday Gift Guide

Hey Lovelies!

Today I have a few ideas for what to get the girly girl in your life.  I figured this is the best  I could do since I am, myself, a very girly girl.  This will be split between price ranges that you are able to afford.  Some people have a set limit in a Secret Santa or cannot afford to be buying very lavish gifts for every person they know, so I wanted to make a wide variety of ideas for the people you love.

Some people that shopping for a girly girl is difficult, but I find it to be one of the easiest things.  A lot of stores have available items for this type of personality and many small items can be found that will make these people really happy.  So, lets get started.

~ $6.oo ~
Monogram Mug
MONOGRAM MUG LETTER A
This is a super cute gift that a lot of people would enjoy.  Mugs are perfect because it's cold and people enjoy drinking hot coffee, tea, or cocoa.  I personally really like the mugs at Target.  I could not find the mug that is shaped like Santa or other fun characters, but the one displayed above is still super cute!

~ $8.00 ~
Dancing Reindeer Necklace
Charming Charlie is the place to go for the latest accessories.  The other day I went there and saw this adorable necklace in the Christmas section and fell in love.  It is dainty and cute, but it has character and would go well with a lot of outfits due to its neutrality. Plus, it is affordable

~ $20.00 ~
Glow on Ahead Watch
Watches are another great accessory that can, of course, be found at Charming Charlie.  This is a very neautral watch, with bling that can add an extra something to any outfit.  It is wearable and can be used on the daily.  This watch would be an amazing gift.

~ $50.00 ~
The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette
Too Faced - The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette
If you have a larger budget for someone special, you know they love makeup, and you know they love sweets, this is the gift for them!  Too Faced has great, quality products that do not disappoint.  This palette has great neutral colors in both matte and shimmer shades that are very versatile and usable.  I think that, if you have the budget, this is a really awesome gift for a girly girl.

I hope this helps some of you guys figure out what to get the girly girl in your life.  Let me know what you are getting the special people in your life in the comments below.

xoxo, Ana
