Puerto Rico: Day 36

Hello Lovelies!

Today was a super exciting, fun day! I spent the entire day with family, it was a great bonding experience.  I've always told you guys that spending time with family is priceless.  Oftentimes we take them for granted, but family isn't always physically there so we have to make the best of every moment.

We decided to let my cousin and his girlfriend experience a Puerto Rican beach.  This is another really amazing place that every person should visit when coming to Puerto Rico.  I cannot stress how amazing these beaches are!

Eat bacalao or cod fish!

I hope you guys have an amazing day!

Puerto Rico: Day 35

Hey Lovelies.

Today was more of a stay-at-home day.  My sister and I helped clean the house and I worked out, so I felt like it was a super productive day.

I don't like sharing my progress pics, so all I have is a picture of my laundry.  {sorry} But it's always nice to have a really awesome productive day.

Don't forget to be productive today!

Puerto Rico: Day 34

Hello Lovelies!

Today was the trip I have been waiting for!!! We went hiking in El Yunque.  It was such an amazing trip and a great workout.  Honestly, I fell in love all over again with my beautiful island.

The rainforest is an absolute marvel.  Fun Fact: it competed for one of the seven marvels of the world. Not to mention, you can learn so much if you have a guide or a native.  It is a great experience.

All of the pictures above were taken on the hike towards La Mina Falls.

We finally made it!!!
{can you see the satisfaction??}

Swimming under the water fall! :D

The water was clear and the rocks beautiful.

After the hike we went and played dominos!

I hope you guys are enjoying the blog posts.  As my trip soon comes to a close, I am planning posts for when I return.

Puerto Rico: Day 33

Hey Lovelies!

So after doing mostly nothing and being idle most of the day, my uncle and cousin picked my sister and I up to go to San Juan for the night.  It was so much fun!!!

The capital city of Puerto Rico is absolutely beautiful during the day, and such a blast during the night: music, lights, and lots of walking.  I had never gone to San Juan in the night time, it was a fun new experience that I got to spend with amazing people.

Puerto Rico: Day 32

Hello Lovelies!

So today we went to the artisan festival in San Juan.  I went with my Aunt and her friend, it was a great time.  These festivals are filled with handmade crafts and things, they are wonderful places to learn about the island and to enjoy some of the most gorgeous things people create with their own hands.  It's not everyday that you get to enjoy the wonderful things that nature and recycling can form.

If you ever visit the city of San Juan while this is happening, please don't skip over it.  Although you may not buy anything, it is just a blessing to see the things these people create.

Puerto Rico: Day 31

Hey Lovelies!

Today was not my best day, I had to come home from a sleepover because of menstrual pain, but I'm feeling much better now.  Since I didn't do anything too exciting, I took pictures of a sewing project I made.  My cosmetic bag broke recently so I decided, last minute, to make myself another one.

Link to Directions:

Disclaimer: this is not my own project, I got the idea from another blog.

Fabric: 12 x 16''
Lining: 12 x 15.5''
Durable Fabric: 12 x 16''
Zipper: 14''
Remanent Fabric: 7 x 3''

Sew Fabric to Durable Fabric and sew on the lining.

Sew the zipper on the first side, where the finishing was made.

Sew the zipper to the opposite side making a loop.

Cut 1.5'' squares on each side of the looped fabric.

Turn inside out and stitch the zippered edges, keeping the remanent fabric inside.

Sew each corner into a boxed shape.

Completed project!

I hope you guys enjoyed seeing how I made my little project, it didn't take more than an hour {I was distracted talking to people :D}.  Let me know in the comments if you guys are making any cool projects this summer!

xoxo, Ana
