October Favorties

Hey Lovelies!

I cannot believe that October is almost over!  This has been a very interesting month filled with twists and turns, a lot of exciting opportunities, and many products that have stood out.  Because I was unable to find anything new due to my lack of time to go out and search for products, I have rediscovered some old loves.

Avéne Trixéra+ Emollient Balm

My eczema has only gotten worse with the stress that the end of a quarter for school and this creme has been my savior.  I have very dry, flaky, rough patches of skin on my face and arms and it is something that has always troubled me.  But reusing this creme on a daily basis has been wonderful for my skin and it was featured in one of my draft articles as well.

EOS Balms

Now these little guys have been very trendy and people constantly talk about them.  I have had two of the lip balms for more than a year and I never gave them much thought since I have a good amount of lip products already.  Honestly, the EOS lip balms are not only extremely moisturizing but they work well as a base for other products.

Planner

As I said before, this month has been a very busy month and one where I have been working my way towards a better me for the year 2015.  One of my biggest problems is time management and the best help for this is my planner.  Any planner will work, but these amazing list makers work well to organize thoughts and give me something tangible where I can see the what I have to do and how I can get it done.  I love planner and it has been an awesome help for me.

Celebrity: Dove Cameron

I have been obsessed with Dove lately.  Her lovely, chic style drives me towards her.  She is such a genuine and amazing person, she is someone that I aspire to be like.  I love her ability to be such a girly, girl while remaining unique and absolutely amazing.  She is a great role model as well as a great fashion icon.  I kind of lover her! :D {I've kind of watched Cloud9 more times than I am willing to admit!!!}

YouTube: breelovesbeauty

Someone who has helped me get through tough times of my life, a person that brings me a positive outlook and is consistently sending messages from God into my life, Bree is a definite favorite of mine for the month.  Her channel has taught me a lot about beauty, fashion, and makeup but has also given me hope that life will be great even after difficult times.  Her positivity is infectious and it has really allowed me to rethink myself and make myself a better person in terms of my relationship to God.

I am super excited to find out what November has in store for me and I cannot wait for the Holiday season!  This is definitely going to be an awesome month and the upcoming year will be so much better.

One Year of Blogging!!!

Hello Lovelies!

I was looking through my blog when I realized that yesterday was my one year anniversary of writing on my blog!

This journey has been one of the most life changing and amazing experiences of my life.  I honestly cannot believe how far I have come from the person I was when I began blogging.  I started this blog to share my love for fashion, beauty, health, fitness, and happiness.  As I tracked my progress of my 2014 Resolutions there were many moments where I felt discouraged and moments where I felt that I could never be the person that I wanted to be.  I constantly engulf myself in the idea that I need nice clothes and makeup and the perfect attitude to be known as someone with a passion for beauty and fashion, but I have proved the opposite.

For anyone who has consistently read my blog I want to thank you because seeing that people read my blog is so encouraging, even if it is just one person. This blog has been a creative outlet for me and I cannot thank anyone enough who even merely skimmed over my page.

I really hope that my blog can continue to be a place where I can share my opinions, my life, and my interests.

Fall Fashion Wishlist

Hello Lovelies!

Although I live in the south, where the winter and fall never really hit us, I still love the fashion that comes with the fall time.  From scarves to boots to comfy sweaters, fall is always about being comfortable whilst still looking super cute.  I haven;t had much time for shopping, but looking for new items to put into my wardrobe is something I love to do that calms me down after a long day.

Sweaters

I love sweaters and they are comfy, cute, and they can be dressed up or down.  The best part about sweaters is there versatility and how you are able to use them in order to either make you look very casual or sophisticated.  There are many routes you can go with certain types of sweaters such as the over sized sweater, the knit soft sweater, or even the cropped sweater.  Below are some examples of my favorite picks from Forever 21.

Pants/Stockings

Because I live in an area that does not get very chilly, stockings or tights are viable under skirts or dresses at this time of year.  Otherwise, pants or comfortable leggings are a must.  We all have to find one pair of pants that look great no matter what the weather may look like outside.

Scarves

Previously, I have not been a very big scarf person {probably because I never really experience fall or winter}.  Ever since I visited Washington D.C. over spring break, I have fallen in love with scarves and their ability to really make or break an outfit.  Not only can scarves be used around the neck, they can also protect you from the harsh winds, keep you away from the sun, and it even allows you to have an instant shawl wherever you go.

Jackets

Of course jackets are a must for the fall time because they protect us from the cold that is eventually inevitable.  I love the jackets are being used now from the feminine twist on military jackets to pea coats to  casual cardigans, fall is the time to get the cute jackets on before the winter hits and heavier coats are necessary.

I have really also wanted some shoes that are a bit dressier for the fall time as well as some skirts.  Since I don't often buy clothing I thought it would be a good idea to include these in my list since I do plan on working on my closet and making it more classy, stylish, and something that I am comfortable with.  So below I will just show some examples of what I think are appropriate fall clothing items that aren't listed above.

Living Life

Hi Lovelies!

It has been a while since my last update, but I have been very busy.  Blogging is on my list of priorities, but recently the other things above it have taken up a lot of my time.

Please don't think that I have forgotten, but life honestly has been difficult and it has taken a toll on a lot of aspects of my life.  If you are wondering, I have not been exercising, health has been put on the back-burner, school is very time consuming, and personal things have taken up so much time, it not even funny.

Sometimes it is difficult to realize that everything I have ever wanted, to grow up and be in highschool, is here and it is nothing like I anticipated.  Life has thrown me so many curve balls recently, and it takes a lot to realize how much you really have.  Yesterday I fell asleep at around 2:30 and I woke up around 9:30 this morning.  Because I had only slept from three to five hours the previous nights, this was so refreshing!  I woke up super happy and it allowed me to realize how wonderful life has been despite the many obstacles in my way.

So the point of this post is that although sometimes life is difficult, it also has certain appeals that make it wonderful.

Enjoy your day and realize that life is wonderful no matter how terrible it may seem!

Don't Feel Good = Netflix

Hello Lovelies!

I have been super busy lately and apparently, the stress caused me great physical distress.  Yesterday my headache caused me to come home early from school.  Not only did my head hurt lots, my body felt weak, and I had barely any focus, but the root of my problem was stress.

The wonderful part of this whole thing is that the stress, along with the headache will not go away.  Now, I am not one that will give advice on dealing with stress, due to the fact I have lots of issues with that, but it probably reached its peak this past week.  I have had a lot of things to deal with including school, two internships, and life.  None of these things have allowed me the time to exercise, relax, or even sit and think about life.

Because I left school early on Friday, I was given time to take a moment and do something that I love: Netflix!!!

From painting my nails to journaling, to reading, nothing gave me as great pleasure and relaxation as living someone else's life and not having to think about it.  Although the headaches have subdued, it has been difficult to really focus on much, including now {I have been writing this paragraph for almost 15 minutes}.  Netflix is the best escape because I can just turn the volume down so much that it doesn't bother me and escape from my world into other peoples.

Hopefully I will get more posts up soon, but, as you can tell, I have been incredibly busy recently.

Classy and Sassy: Spending Time with Yourself

Hello Lovelies!

So these past couple of weeks have been, stressful to say the least, and something that I have been thinking a lot about is how I can take care of myself.  Seems selfish? But it is very difficult to take care of others and serve them if you yourself are a hot mess.  Due to my lack of time and immense workload, doing things to please myself has been quite a difficult task.

I wish I could tell you guys that I get up each morning, apply my makeup, have perfect nails, come outside of my room with an awesome outfit.  Then I continue with my day, calm and collected, I get everything done, and at the end of the day I read a delightful light read and pamper myself before getting some blissful beauty sleep.
My life is a bit more like get up after hitting the snooze button multiple times, splashing my face with water, I put on a t-shirt and jeans (the occasional sweat pants), my hair is usually up, and I eat a quick breakfast.  The whole day I am stressing about all the work I must do, I stay after school to participate in activities, and when I get home it's work, work, break, work, by this time my work is not done and I must move more work onto the next day.  At which point I take a quick shower and usually watch Netflix or YouTube before bed.

With all of the things going on in our lives, it is important to sit down, relax and have some time to ourselves.  Don't take everyday off {that would be crazy} but just take some time out of your week and designate it to doing something you love.

My advice to all of you lovely ladies is to really enjoy life and don't just focus on what you have to do and what needs to be completed.  All will happen in due time.

The biggest problem I have is that I am constantly stressed about things I can't change, things I have no control over, or things that will occur in the future.  This is something that I have to deal with, but when I don't spend time with myself my anxiety can sometimes get the best of me.

So do your nails, wear your makeup, read that romance novel, go to the movies with friends, and just do what makes you happy.  It is so impertinent that we give ourselves a break from the world that we live in.

I hope that I have inspired at least one of my readers to take a day  off and relax.

September Favorites!

Hey Lovelies!

I can not believe the month of September is over and we are headed into the Fall and Winter time.  This month was difficult for me, and I nothing exciting really happened but I still had quite a few favorite things to list for you all.

New Glasses!

So I got new glasses and I was so excited because I had my other glasses for almost three years and they no longer suited my style.  These are from the children's section at Pearl Vision {I am really tiny and other glasses don't fit.}.  They are Candie's brand, with tortoise shell across the bottom and sides of the plastic frame.  The front is an ombre effect effect starting with a dark brown progressing into the tortoise shell.

CoverGirl Eye Shadow in Smooth Taupe

As you may know I don't really wear makeup on a daily basis, but I do wear makeup on the weekends and days off.  {Yes I know, I am odd.} I love the natural look and it suits me.  One of my biggest problems about my complexion is my under eye circles and vainy eye lids.  This is great as an all over the eye shadow and it just adds a touch of shimmer.

I LOVE PINTEREST!!! Pinterest is my everything, I really enjoy looking at the pictures, finding style inspirations, and the fact I can find new ideas through such an amazing site.  If you aren't following me already you should {shameless plug}: My Pinterest!

Water, Water, Water!

In honor of my recently broken tumbler {moment of silence}, I am going to make one of my favorites water.  Not because I don't enjoy water every other month, but I drank lots of water throughout September and it is a very important part of my health.  Not only that, but since I haven't had time to work out recently and healthy eating has not been on my mind {I know, I will try my best to eat healthy in October} so water has been very important for me.

YouTube: Amy Lauren

So I want to tell you all about the YouTuber I have been most excited for watching throughout the month of Seeptember and that  discovered this month.  Her name is Amy Lauren and she has such a cute, girly style very similar to my own.  I love her editing and quality of video, she has an overall excellent channel and I suggest you check her out.

Bonus: Dancing with the Stars

This new season has so many amazing celebrities!!! If you are not watching Dancing with the Stars you totally should because they have a YouTuber, a Fashion Designer, and a cast member of Pretty Little Liars.  What more could you want?
