Please note this was a family vacation so I couldn't get too many pictures that are super-duper professional, but I really love sharing this with you guys!

$$$ Doing Some Damage $$$

Hello Lovelies!

Happy Fourth of July! :D
I don't typically spend too much money shopping, and go for the clearance sections often.  Today, with all the amazing sales, I went a bit crazy.  Originally, I told myself I would only spend $15, but I ended up buying lots of things... adding up to more than $50.  But, I have been planning on updating my closet and the school year is coming up, so I justify my spending habits.  Plus, I got a lot of awesome deals.

About a week ago my mom bought me a gift from Khol's, so I got a black eyelet pleated peplum top.  This blouse is totally my style and a nicer, sophisticated top for more formal events.  It was on sale, but I cannot find the price, so I listed the original price only.

Khol's: $36
I needed some nice cropped shorts/capri pants for the summer as well as school.  These are not only super cute but they really are comfortable and adjustable.

579: $12.99
Everything else is from JCPenny.  Honestly, I will typically refuse to go to the Children's Section of stores {although this clothes fits the best for petite woman}, but I could not refuse the amazing deals they were having.  So I chose the most mature clothing I could find.
This is the most expensive piece I bought from JCPenny.  I could not help myself but buy this top because it is such a cute mix of a peplum and a peasant.

JCPenny: $11.04

This is the most casual thing I bought.  Just a simple printed tank top with gorgeous ruffles.  Super cute for a very casual day out.

JCPenny: $4.24

As you can tell I love peplum tops, they are flattering for my figure because they make my waist look small and my hips bigger.  This is a more loose, flowy top with button details on the back.  The colors are different from what I typically bye, but it's too beautiful to pass up for this amazing price.

JCPenny: $3.74
JCPenny: $3.74
I am not a girl who typically buys spaghetti strap shirts, but this polka dot tank was just precious!  I don't buy black often either.  The mid-section is cinched in with an elastic boobin thread an the chiffon like fabric drapes beautifully.

JCPenny: $7.49
Finally, I needed a new swimsuit because the one I had before was fading from too much use {I think having one swimsuit at a time is enough for me}.  I found this gorgeous suit on clearance and I had to have it.  The top is in a navy blue with a floral pattern and has a criss-cross pattern at the back and the bottoms have a cute bow detail at the sides.  I am more conservative so I don't buy bikinis.

JCPenny: $7.49
Let me know if you are doing any summer shopping.  Have an amazing summer!

Where Have I Been?!?!

Hello Lovelies!

As you probably noticed, I took quite a break from blogging {from most things really} and didn't really realize just how long it has been.  Honestly, it was a much needed break, in which I was dealing with personal issues and was just trying to get my priorities straight.

Basically, the beginning of the year I was trying to be very positive and had a positive mindset about everything {not easy to do when you are 15}.  I found that my life seemed to slowly come apart and break down.  So then I opted for the super negative, unhappy, normal teenage ways.  Not only was this out of my nature but it really bummed me out and made me feel like trash left on the side of road in the middle of nowhere.  It has taken me some time to figure myself out, and I am still searching for a balance, but I no longer want to be super negative with a bad outlook on life.

So, I have slowly started doing things I love again, like sewing and drawing.  I am working on reorganizing my life again, trying to eat healthy and exercise, work on school, and now my blog.   Hopefully I can continue this journey of sharing the things I love with you all.

Everyone has high points and low points.  Life happens.

I think we just need to sit down, get our priorities straight, and start acting upon our words.  Joy is something that I seek and yearn for.  We need to realize that happiness is only a temporary feeling and joy is something that we choose and remains with us always.

So before my break I told you all about my big, new, exciting projects.  Only to realize that my YouTube page (the big project) got hacked into and deleted.  I couldn't figure out how to change my blog and make it awesome, so that was a bust, and lastly, I just had to take a break so my posts and videos couldn't go up....

Let me know if you want a YouTube Channel, I have always wanted one, but who knows?  Otherwise, I am excited because I have soooo many plans and I have a new outlook on life! I am really excited to finally really dedicate my time to the things that are important to me and to write for you guys!!!!

I love you and hope you have a great day! :D

My New Sewing Buddy!

Hello Lovelies!

I love sewing and crafting!  For me, it's another form of therapy, other than running.

This adorable little owl is a great friend to keep me company while I sew my heart away!  She is super cute and holds all my little trinkets so I don't loose these important tools.  I found her, originally, on Pinterest, of course, and as soon as I got my sewing machine I knew I had to make her!

Her name is Moncha, in honor of my late great-grandmother.  She taught my grandmother how to sew, who in turn taught me how to sew.  This little gal now sits next to my machine, until I get a desk for my crafting things.

If you want to try this project out, it took me a couple of hours to complete but I was just getting to know my machine.  She is super cute and has her quirks.  I absolutely lover her!  Her eyes are off, and her feet are practically falling off.  But, that's is why sewing is so awesome.  Everything you make is different and everything you make is unique.

Here is the link to the pattern and instructions:  http://www.shanniloves.com/2013/07/tutorial-owl-you-need-is-sewing-buddy.html

Please Note:  I don't think this is a beginner project, so please be careful if you don't know how to work with sewing machines!

Let me know if you guys want any tutorials on sewing or crafting.

xoxo, Ana

Work It Wednesday: Summer Nails

Hey Lovelies!

Just wanted to update you guys on my nails for the first week of summer!!! Yay!  I am super excited for this summer and cannot wait to see the fabulous adventures ahead {considering the school year was a bore}.

I really want to get back into the girly, sophisticated mood I had before school completely messed me up.  I used to love giving myself manicures and pedicures.  They are super fun and relaxing.  During school, I never had time to do my nails, pick out a cute outfit, and really show who I was.  So, it was only fitting I start the summer with a fun, bright, sparkly mani/pedi!

Quick disclaimer: I do my own nails, I am only fifteen, so if you see any mistakes I apologize in advance.  My nails are short because I cut them so I wouldn't have to worry during finals about a broken nail... The sad truth.

Main Nails: Essie - Watermelon
Accent Nail:  Orly - Tiara

Let me know what color your painting your nails this summer!  I love to use bright colors and stand out.

xoxo, Ana

P.S. - I am super excited to finally tell you guys about all the projects I have planned hopefully this weekend!!! :D

Staying Fabulous: Setting Goals

Hi Lovelies!

I really hope you are having a super fabulous day!  Today I want to tell you about the first step in anything you want to do: Setting Goals.  Before tackling any daunting project you always want to set goals and prepare yourself for what is to come.  Especially with organizing and cleaning.

So, how do you set and complete these goals?

~ 1 ~
Constantly Remind Yourself
Post your goals in notes all over your house.  Maybe even use an agenda to plan out your goals.  Don't forget that things take time and telling yourself one day won't be enough motivation.  You need to be able to know what your plans are and how to execute them.  If an agenda doesn't work for you, use to-do lists.  But don't spend all your time planning and not doing the work.

~ 2 ~
One Step At A Time
Don't try and fill your calendar to the max and do everything at once.  You are going to be overwhelmed and in the end you won't get the job done.  A lot of people make this mistake and become aggravated and cannot continue to finish their project.

~ 3 ~
Stress Less, Do More
You will never get anything done if you are stressed about twenty other things.  This is one of the reasons I cannot wait until summer {tomorrow is my last day of school!!!}.  Figure out a schedule that works for you and stick to it.  If you start stressing before you even begin, your end result will only be half done.

I hope this helps you all!  My next post in this series will be on a project I am working on over the summer: Re-Doing My Closet and Style.  Super sorry for the short post I just wanted to get something up for you guys.

Have an amazing day.

xoxo, Ana
